Bob Geldof to marry fiancee Jeanne Marine at St Mary Magdelene and St Lawrence Church in Faversham: report

Bob Geldof is said to be planning to wed his long-term partner in Faversham this summer.

The Boomtown Rats star has reportedly decided to marry in the same church where funerals for his daughter Peaches and his ex-wife Paula Yates took place.

A national newspaper claims the 63-year-old singer and French actress Jeanne Marine have chosen the St Mary Magdalene & St Lawrence Church near their home in Faversham for its importance to the family.

Bob and Jeanne, 49, are said to be planning a ceremony in August in the chapel that also played host to the wedding of the singer's daughter Peaches, and Bob's marriage blessing to Peaches' mum, Paula Yates in 1986.

The wedding will come just a few months after Bob and his family mark the first anniversary of Peaches' death tomorrow.

The reports come as tragic Peaches Geldof's husband Thomas Cohen is said to have been supported by a friend of his wife, almost a year after her tragic death.

The widower has been seen with artist Georgia Keeling, with whom he is said to have struck up a close friendship over the past year.

Tom, who is father to Peaches’ sons Astala, three this month, and 23-month-old Phaedra, is raising the children on his own with the help of family and friends.

It is believed the family are preparing a small memorial service on the anniversary of Peaches' death, which is tomorrow.

An inquest last year heard Peaches was found dead by her husband Thomas Cohen.

He discovered his wife in a spare bedroom slumped forward. The inquest found heroin had played a part in her death.
