A crash on the M2 this morning has cleared after causing miles-long tailbacks and lengthy delays.
The London-bound carriageway between Junction 6 A251 Ashford Road, Faversham, to Junction 5 A249, Sittingbourne, had been shut about halfway between the two junctions due to an accident.
Traffic monitoring service Inrix said “All traffic being temporarily held and queueing traffic for two miles. All stopped just after 07:50.”
No injuries have been sustained in the crash.
It comes after a car hit a central reservation barrier between Junction 3 for Blue Bell Hill and Junction 4 for Hempstead earlier this morning.
