Faversham mum Jo Jell launches Club Milk - the clubbing event for mums and babies

A Faversham mum has launched a raving revolution with a daytime clubbing event… for babies.

Club Milk will create an unlikely mishmash of glow-sticks and baby wipes, with “big-name” DJs on the decks and even a licenced bar.

With no bouncers on the door and definitely no need for ID to prove you’re over 18, Jo Jell is hoping to bring an entire new facet to the clubbing industry.

She will be accompanied by Faversham DJ and father Ben Macklin and stylist Hannah
Bullivant, who will be creating “cutting-edge” decor at the Alexander Centre in Preston Street.

Jo said: “Music and dancing feature significantly in the happiest moments of my life.

“It became an ambition to create events where these things would combine in a child-centred environment.

“If you’re looking for something different to do with your little ones and you haven’t been ‘out out’ for a long while, this event is perfect” - Jo Jell

“I feel incredibly excited to be joined in this mission by brilliantly talented people who happen to be local parents as well.

Inside Club Milk, there will be a bar serving healthy snacks for the youngsters – as well as alcohol for the adults – a sensory play area and a chillout zone.

Child-friendly organisations Millie & Monty Massage, Wild Fox and Reading Fairy will be providing storytelling sessions, relaxation and baby massages and fun painting classes, all to the backdrop of heavy-bass beats and neon-adorned mums and dads.

The event has already triggered interest from Faversham parents, with tickets already being sold a month before the baby clubbing begins.

Club Milk will make its debut on Saturday, March 14, from 3pm until 5.30pm and tickets are £7.

There will be a raffle, with the proceeds going to the Miscarriage Association and the Special Needs Advistory and Activities Project (SNAAP).
