The charge for robbery follows a reported incident in Limes Place on March 10, when a man in his 20s was assaulted and had items stolen.
Thomas was charged with affray and possession of a bladed article after a reported incident on March 17 in St Nicholas Road.
He appeared at court via virtual link on Saturday where he was remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on April 18.
