Faversham: M2 Junction 5 to Junction 7 Brenley Corner to close nightly for resurfacing

A large stretch of the M2 near Faversham is to close every night next week for resurfacing.

The London-bound route will be fully closed between Junction 7 at Brenley Corner roundabout, to the Junction 5 turn-off for Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Maidstone.

It will shut from 8pm until 6am for seven nights, starting on Monday (January 14).

A diversion will be in place via the A2, A20 and M20.

The work comes just ahead of long-term roadworks starting at Brenley Corner next month, where the M2 meets the A2 and A299 Thanet Way.

The long-awaited work will see the major roundabout upgraded, but will bring with it a raft of closures on surrounding roads.
