M2 crash near Faversham leaves person in hospital

A person has been taken to hospital after a crash on the M2.

The incident happened at 7.49pm on the London bound carriageway between junction 6 for Faversham and junction 5 for Sheerness.

Three fire engines attended with a technical rescue team and had to remove the roof of the car to rescue the casualty.

They were then handed to paramedics.

Fire crews left the scene at 9.45pm.

Police have been contacted for more information.
