Police investigate attack on man outside Wetherspoon’s pub The Leading Light in Faversham

Police are investigating an attack outside a Wetherspoon’s pub in a town centre.

It is alleged a man was assaulted near The Leading Light in Faversham at about 11pm on Easter Sunday.

Police were called to the scene in Preston Street and paramedics treated the victim for injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.

It was initially reported a knife may have been involved, but the man’s injuries are not thought to have been caused by a weapon.

Inquiries are ongoing to establish whether a knife was involved.
