Southeastern trains delayed after all lines closed at Faversham after vehicle hit road bridge

Train lines at Faversham were shut this morning after a lorry crashed into a bridge.

Rail users faced delays after the accident, which happened just after 9am in Chestfield.

Southeastern says the truck became stuck under the bridge so the track had to be closed in both directions.

The lines reopened not long after 10am.

The bridge has been struck many times in recent years, and was hit twice in a week last summer.
