Wedding ring stolen from train between Canterbury East and Faversham

Police have released CCTV of a man they want to speak to after a platinum diamond wedding ring was stolen from a train.

A woman was travelling between Canterbury East and Faversham when she took off the band worth around £3,300 so she should moisture her hands, before accidentally leaving it on a seat next to her.

She left the Southeastern train at Faversham but when she returned with staff, the ring could not be found.

The incident happened at around 7am on Wendesday, July 27.

The British Transport Police is now appealing for information from people who may recognise the man in the CCTV image as he may be able to help with their investigation.
