A woman has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a car near a railway station.

The collision happened in Preston Street, Faversham, just after 7.50am this morning.

Police and paramedics were at the scene and the female pedestrian was treated for injuries.

The incident happened near the Railway Hotel and Faversham station.

A police spokesman added: “We were called at 7.53am to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Preston Street, Faversham.

“Officers and paramedics attended the scene where the pedestrian was treated for injuries.

“She was taken to hospital for further medical attention.”
