Manager Tommy Warrilow has praised Faversham’s fans.
The ambitious Southern Counties East Premier Division outfit are aiming for a second Isthmian South East FA Cup scalp when they visit Broadbridge Heath in the first qualifying round on Saturday.
It will be an eighth competitive fixture already for Faversham, a sixth away from home.
Warrilow, whose side won 3-2 at Littlehampton to progress to this stage, said: “I know a few of Broadbridge Heath’s players.
“I know they have not had the best of starts this season but it’s only three games in, in their league. We’ll just concentrate on ourselves.
“We have a coach going again and our support has been fantastic.
“It’s been a long month with all the travelling and we’ll try to put in a really good performance for them on Saturday.
“We’ve said from day one that it’s about enjoying it - on and off the pitch. We all go to work from Monday to Friday most weeks and then we have got training on Tuesdays and Thursday nights.
“Then, Saturday is when we play a lot of our games and we always thank the fans at the end because we don’t take them for granted.
“They have been unbelievable. The fanbase has grown even more this season and, hopefully, it will continue to.”
Faversham’s unbeaten start continued over the Bank Holiday weekend as defender Ben Gorham got the only goal in a 1-0 FA Vase victory at divisional rivals Fisher last Saturday. They followed that up with a 3-0 derby success at Whitstable on Monday.
Goals by forward Tashi-Jay Kwayie and captain Callum Davies had them 2-0 up in 20 minutes in front of a crowd of 868 at The Belmont while midfielder Sam Hasler netted shortly before the hour mark.
“It’s still so early in the season,” said Warrilow. “I know everyone says it but you have got to get to 10 games before you have a look at everything.
“On Monday, in the second half, they came out and hit the crossbar. But apart from that, they didn’t create much and - without wanting to sound disrespectful - we could have had even more goals.
“We’re going in the right direction. We know we have got quality in the changing room.
“We have just got people relaxing a bit more. We have kind of taken some of the stigma around the club (regarding expectations to win every game and the budget) away from it a little bit.
“We’ve had an excellent Bank Holiday weekend - and, now, we need to back that up.
"We’ve had fantastic support again and you have got to enjoy days like Monday.
“We haven’t won anything yet but, if you cannot enjoy days like that, then you shouldn’t be in football.”
The Bank Holiday matches provided two completely different tests, the Lilywhites showing they could dig deep when they needed to against Ajay Ashanike’s Fisher team.
Warrilow admitted: “It just sums the league up, really, having those two games.
“I was speaking to Ajay before the Fisher game and he does an unbelievable job with no budget.
“I don’t know why anyone thinks we have a divine right to go there and roll them over because they’re an organised side.
“We got the win on Saturday and, in the FA Vase, that’s the most important thing.”
Faversham host Lydd - who did the double over them last term - on Tuesday in the league, provided their FA Cup tie doesn’t go to a replay.
“I’ve kept the majority of the lads that we brought in last year,” said Warrilow. “The majority of the summer signings have played for me before.
“We’re just not trying to over-complicate things. Everyone knows how we play but it’s up to them to stop it!
“If we have to change it, we can.
"But we’re not changing things for the sake of it.”
