Air ambulance lands in Folkestone as pub fight at The Brickfield Cookhouse sparks huge emergency response

An air ambulance was called after a fight erupted inside a family pub leaving a man requiring hospital treatment.

Police and paramedics were called after he was injured during a disturbance at The Brickfield Cookhouse in Cherry Garden Lane, Folkestone shortly before 4.30pm yesterday.

Multiple emergency services vehicles were spotted at Shearway Business Park.

An air ambulance also landed near Bannatyne Health Club.

Police were called to the scene after reports a man was injured after an altercation.

“Officers attended along with paramedics and the man was taken to a local hospital with injuries which were not life-threatening,” a spokesman said.

“Following inquiries at the scene, a 45-year-old man from Folkestone was arrested on suspicion of assault.

“He remains in custody and an investigation is ongoing.”

The ambulance service says paramedics assessed and treated one patient at the scene before the air ambulance arrived.

“The patient was then conveyed by road to William Harvey Hospital for further medical treatment,” a spokesman added.
