Air ambulance lands at Hawkinge Community Centre

An air ambulance has landed at Hawkinge Community Centre.

The helicopter arrived at the site near Folkestone at around 11.15am.

Land-based ambulance crews were also seen in a residential street where the incident is believed to have taken place.

Emergency services have been asked for more information.

James Godfrey, press officer for Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance said: "I can confirm that on Satruday October 20 at 11.10am, one of our HEMS crews was dispatched from Redhill to attend to a medical incident near Folkestone.

"After treating a male patient at the scene, we airlifted the patient to King’s College Hospital in London."
