Arrest after driver hits railings on A260 Dover Road, Folkestone and flees

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car hit railings near a railway bridge.

Police were called to the collision on the A260 Dover Road in Folkestone at 6.36pm yesterday.

The driver had reportedly left the scene on foot before officers arrived.

A spokesman for the force said: “Following inquiries, a local woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and taken into custody.”
