The air ambulance was called in after a man was injured this evening.

There was a heavy police presence in an area of Folkestone, from around 6.30pm.

The incident is believed to have happened at flats on the corner of Lennard Road and Ryland Place.

It is currently unknown how the man was injured.

One witness, who did not wish to be named, said he saw four police cars and two ambulances.

The air ambulance is believed to have landed nearby close the seafront.
