A Kent service station has been ranked the best in the UK for lorry drivers.
Folkestone Services, previously also known as Stop 24, is on junction 11 of the M20.
A survey of cabbies carried out by haulier Breakwells Transport looked at HGV parking availability, price, the amount of healthy food options available, and hotel ratings to find which UK service stations are the best and worst for lorry drivers.
Folkestone Services topped the list, with a score of 62 out of 100.
It was closely followed by Lym Services in Cheshire and Cobham Services in Surrey.
At the other end of the scale, Leeming Bar Services, on the A1 in Nottinghamshire, gained the dubious accolade of being the worst service station on the list, scoring just 20 marks out of 100.
Folkestone Services recently had an upgrade thanks to the new Operator Road Chef.
It now has a drive-thru Costa and a McDonald’s, which opened in January.
The company also brought with it a WH Smith and a betting shop.
Other restaurants at the services include Subway, KFC and Noodle Stop.
The facility is the closest rest stop to the port of Dover.
It features the Channel Ports inland border facility, changing places, a coach interchange, ferry timetables, free cash machines and harbour shipping times.
