Pictures show the destruction caused after a lorry ploughed through railings and into bushes near a motorway.
The incident occurred at about 2am today on the A20 Cheriton roundabout in Folkestone, at junction 12 of the M20.
It saw the westbound route closed until about 8.30am.
Motorist Dan Baker came across the collision in the early hours.
He told KentOnline: “Me and two others were first on the scene.
“The engine was still running when we got there.
“One of the other guys climbed to look in the window, and there were two occupants.
“I got him to open the door and turn the engine off.”
He says both occupants were conscious, and firefighters helped them out of the vehicle.
“Two police units arrived - one to block the broken barrier on the slip road, which a car had almost hit,” he added.
“An emergency response ambulance also arrived, and then we all left.”
Pictures show the lorry stuck in the embankment and twisted metal from the broken railings.
Drivers approaching the roundabout from Cheriton, who were travelling from Folkestone, were diverted up to junction 11 of the M20.
Traffic information site Inrix said a lorry ended up in bushes after the incident, and has now been recovered.
The route was shut westbound but has since reopened.
Emergency services have been contacted for more information.
