Police launch appeal after attempted robbery in alleyway in Mount Pleasant Road, Folkestone

A man received a cut to his eye during an attempted robbery in Folkestone.

Detectives have now launched an investigation into the incident, which happened in an alleyway at the top of Mount Pleasant Road.

The victim, a man in his 20s, reported that he was approached by two men who attempted to take his bag from him.

Nothing was taken but the victim's eye was cut during the altercation.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

The first man is described as a white male, about 5ft 11ins tall and was wearing a black zip up top with white stripes down the sleeve, jeans and trainers.

The second man is described as of mixed race, about 5ft 11ins tall, of a slim build and was wearing a dark blue tracksuit and trainers.
