A man in his 30s has been found dead on a Kent beach.

A member of the public made the discovery shortly after 8.20am at Sunny Sands in Folkestone.

The deceased man's next-of-kin has been informed.

He is from the Maidstone area and officers say no suspicious circumstances have been identified.

An eyewitness told KentOnline the beach had been cordoned off with several emergency services vehicles present.

The tragic find was made on rocks towards Cobbs Point.

Police will now prepare a report for the coroner.
