Man dies after grey Renault Megane hits tree in Churchill Avenue, Folkestone

A driver has been killed after his car left the road and hit a tree.

The grey Renault Megane was travelling on Churchill Avenue in Folkestone at around 9.10pm yesterday when the accident happened.

A man in his 30s - who police say is from the local area - was declared dead at the scene.

Kent Police's serious collision investigation unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash, which happened between the roundabout for Park Farm Road and a roundabout which connects with Canterbury Road.

Investigators are particularly keen to obtain privately held video footage, such as dashcam or CCTV, which captures the grey Megane travelling in the area in the moments leading up to the incident.
