The announcement, confirmed on the hall's official Facebook page, comes two days after Skin was unmasked as 'Duck' on ITV's show The Masked Singer.

After being unveiled in a double elimination alongside Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears (Unicorn), the 52-year-old said she "just wanted to do something completely different" on the show.

"It's been really challenging and really hard, and just major fun as well", she finished.

After embarking on a solo career following the band's split in 2001, Skin reunited with Skunk Anansie in 2009 and the band celebrated their 25th anniversary last year.

They marked the occasion with the release of their 25LIVE@25 album before announcing they would be following up by returning to the road for a European tour culminating in the UK.

Tickets go on general sale on Friday at 10am, and will be available on the Leas Cliff Hall website.

Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult to the show.
