What can I watch on Folkestone's outdoor cinema, Harbour Screen?

New releases, classic movies and children's favourites will all feature in this year's line up at The Harbour Screen.

The popular outdoor cinema is back for a second year at Folkestone's recently renovated Harbour Arm.

Films including Black Panther, Bohemian Rhapsody and Jurassic Park will all be played on the big screen for the summer season.

Children's favourites Moana and Frozen will also be shown.

The Fight - filmed in and around Folkestone - will also be screened, and will be followed by a question and answer session with leading actress Jessica Hynes, from Folkestone.

Viewers can relax and watch the films from comfy deckchairs between May 24 and September 7.

Films will be shown Friday and Saturday evenings, Saturday mornings and every other Wednesday.

James Collie, Harbour Screen programmer said: "This year’s Harbour Screen season is a celebration of iconic films, new releases, and an opportunity to discover new films.

"I am so excited to be unveiling a programme of 50+ films.

"After the success of the first season, we can't wait to get started again on May 24.

"This season we're also launching our Secret Short Film Showcase where short films all of shapes and sizes will screen before films to support the filmmaking community in Kent and beyond.

"If you’re a filmmaker and would like to submit a film of under ten minutes for consideration, please contact us via our website as we have a rolling submission policy."

This year, the Harbour Screen will be introducing a fee for tickets.

Bosses say this will help "make the Harbour Screen a permanent addition to the ever-evolving Folkestone Harbour Arm" and will allow further investment in the site.

Prices will range from £2.50 for the Wednesday matinee and kid's club showings to £7.50 for the evening screenings.
