Person taken to hospital after emergency response in Guildhall Street, Folkestone

A man was taken to hospital after police and ambulance crews were called to an incident in a town centre.

Paramedics attended Guildhall Street in Folkestone just before 8.45pm yesterday.

A police van and car, an ambulance and a critical response unit were in attendance.

A man was treated at the scene before being taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 8.42pm yesterday to reports of someone in need of medical attention.

“Crews assessed and treated one patient at the scene before taking them to William Harvey Hospital for further medical treatment.”

Police were called to assist but no crime had taken place.
