Arson investigation after police car set alight in Folkestone

Police are appealing for information after one of their cars was torched while on duty in Folkestone.

Officers were called to an address in Canterbury Road at around 4.35am.

While they were on the call, the police car was set alight.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but officers are investigating the case for criminal damage and arson.

Enquiries are ongoing, and CCTV and witness statements are being collected.
