Folkestone: Kevin Moss charged with four counts of robbery, theft and possession of an offensive weapon

A man has appeared in court, suspected of stealing from six different supermarkets.

Kevin Moss, of no fixed address, appeared at Folkestone Magistrates' Court yesterday via videolink after being detained on Tuesday, February 12.

Officers charged him with four counts of robbery, after goods were stolen from Lidl in Shellon Street on Friday, February 8 and Iceland in West Terrace on Friday, February 8.

The other two counts relate to the stealing of goods from Sainsbury’s in the Park Farm retail park and the Dover Road Tesco Express - both taking place last Sunday.

Charges were also levelled at Mr Moss for theft, with items stolen from the Bouverie Place Asda on Thursday, February 7, TK MaXX in Bouverie Place on Thursday, January 31 and the Park Farm Sainsbury's on Monday, January 14.

He was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon along with three counts of possession of a bladed article in a public place, all in connection with the robberies.

Following his court date yesterday, he has been remanded in custody until his next appearance on Wednesday, March 13 at Canterbury Crown Court.
