Thieves target cash from phone boxes across Folkestone and Cheriton

A spate of phone box thefts have been seen across a seaside town, with money taken from four booths.

The incidents took place around Folkestone and nearby Cheriton, occurring between February 4 and March 13.

Cash was stolen from phone boxes on Sandgate Road, Millfield and Granville Road - all Folkestone - and Station Road in Cheriton.

Police have described "thieves" committing the crimes, suggesting there is more than one culprit.

A Kent Police spokeswoman said: "Anyone with information is asked to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/59414/20.
