Police charge teenage boy with after man in 30s stabbed in Foord Road, Folkestone

A teenage boy has been charged following a serious assault which saw a man airlifted to hospital with a stab wound.

Emergency services were called to Foord Road in Folkestone at around 3.30pm on Wednesday (April 30), after reports that a man had been seriously hurt.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was airlifted to a London hospital with a stab wound.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and he remains in hospital.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested yesterday following enquiries at the scene and has since been charged with unlawful wounding, possession of a knife and possession of crack cocaine.

He appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court this morning and was remanded into youth detention.

He is next due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, June 2.

A second suspect, a 19 year old man from Folkestone, was also arrested yesterday. He has been bailed to return to Folkestone police station.
