A woman was taken to hospital after a car crashed into two pedestrians.

The crash happened in Cherry Garden Avenue, Folkestone , close to the junction with Cheriton Road this morning.

Police and ambulance services both attended the scene, at around 10.30am.

One woman has since been taken to hospital for minor injuries.

A spokesman for the force said: "Kent Police was called at 10.35am regarding a collision on Cherry Garden Avenue, Folkestone involving a car and two pedestrians.

"Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where one of the pedestrians was treated for injuries described as minor.

"She was later taken to hospital as a precaution."
