Folkestone flop despite Millar's thunderbolt

Folkestone Invicta 1, Chippenham Town 2

FOLKESTONE Invicta's miserable home run continued against Chippingham Town at Cheriton Road on Saturtday, despite opening the scoring thanks to a thunderbolt from impressive 18-year-old midfielder Jamie Millar.

Chippingham replied with headers from set pieces courtesy of big defenders Gareth Davies and Tom Gould as Invicta were left to rue the absence of injured centre halves Scott Daniels and Anthony Henry.

Invicta have taken just one point from six home Premier Division games so far this season, and will perhaps not mind too much that eight of their next 10 fixtures are away from home.

Manager Neil Cugley said afterwards: "I feel really sorry for the players. They once again worked really hard for the club and deserve some reward."
