The fighter is aiming to compete at the games in Tokyo this summer for Team GB.

But looking to the future, he’s combining his passions by launching a clothing brand focused on people aspiring to “level up” their lives.

He said: “I have always been entrepreneurial, from selling chocolate at school to now running my own clothing label.

“The Level Up Nation mentality is to start and grow; challenging yourself by being consistent and persistent even in hard times, knowing you’re doing your best to reach the next level.”

Cheavon began boxing when he was 18 after looking for an exercise that could help with his fitness when playing football.

After being encouraged by his friends, he fought his first fight a year later and was hooked.

The Jamaica-born boxer also competed for the Caribbean nation at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and was team mates with Olympic champion and world record holding sprinter Usain Bolt.

However, after a few losses Cheavon moved away from the sport for a couple of years.

He said: “I was embarrassed that I wasn’t performing at my best so I became a lorry driver.

“But my friends told me I was wasting my talent so I began boxing again in December 2015.

“In 2016 my coach suggested I compete in the Championships again and since that competition I’ve been winning major fights ever since.

“I wouldn’t have been able to get to where I am now without the belief people had in me.”

The partnership with web hosting service GoDaddy will see the launch his new brand, Level Up Nation.

Until now, the business has existed solely on social media, with Cheavon taking orders directly, managing the inventory and distributing products to a growing number of loyal customers.

The website will showcase Level Up Nation’s full clothing catalogue and enable fans to purchase branded hoodies, t-shirts and other merchandise, as well as showcase Cheavon’s community involvement.

Cheavon – ranked number five in the world in his division – hopes his website will encourage others to challenge themselves and reach the best of their ability.

“That message has never been more relevant and I’m pleased to be on this journey with GoDaddy – a brand that has the same philosophy,” he said.

“There are many parallels between running a business and boxing. Neither is a smooth ride.

“You have ups and downs, and it’s the attitude and the mindset you have when you’re down that counts – you can just lie there or you can Level Up and come back stronger. Persistence is everything.”
