A charity team from Northfleet have raised more than £4,000 for Mind.

A group of volunteers have raised more than £4,000 for charity.

A team of 21 staff from manufacturing company, Rodenstock, based in Northfleet, were joined by family and friends to take part in a fundraising walk.

The group of good samaritans trekked for seven miles, from the company's offices on Springhead Road to the Dartford Gurdwara - Guru Hargobind Sahib temple on Highfield Road.

Their aim was to raise awareness and funds for the mental health charity, Mind.

As a result of their campaign they managed to donate £4,026 to the organisation in a form of a giant cheque.

ICT Programme Manager for Rodenstock, Steve Beaty took part in the walk.

He said: "I am proud to have participated in the charity event and would like to thank all of those who walked and supported the team on the day.

"Finally thank you to everyone who donated."
