Firefighters were called after a fence fire spread into a garden in Northfleet yesterday.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene following reports of a fence fire in Aspdin Road at 6.24pm, and arrived to find a shed, fence and large tree alight.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using hose reel jets.

The fire was under control by 7.10pm.

No casualties were reported and the cause is not currently known.
