Motorcyclist taken to hospital following collision near McDonald's in Greenhithe

Paramedics were called after a collision involving a motorcyclist.

Crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) were sent to the roundabout near McDonald's in Greenhithe at around 10.40am.

Spokesman for SECAmb Rich Airey said: "One ambulance crew attended the scene and the cyclist was assessed and treated before being taken to Medway Maritime Hospital."

London Road was partially blocked and traffic slowed following the accident.

It was fully open by around 11.25am.

Police spokesman James Walker said: "We were called to a collision between a car and a motorbike in London Road, Greenhithe.

"The motorcyclist, a man, was taken to a local hospital for treatment to injuries that were not reported to be serious."
