Drivers faced delays after a crash on the A2 near Gravesend this afternoon.

The incident happened just before 1.15pm, and two lanes were blocked between the A227 Wrotham Road and Junction 1 of the M2.

Kent County Council's traffic website reported delays were expected in the area, but all lanes have since reopened.

Kent Police say they were called at 1.15pm to a report of a collision involving three cars and a lorry on the A2 coastbound, near Shorne.

Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance and one person was taken to Medway Hospital.

No serious injuries were reported and the scene was clear by around 3.10pm, but at about 2.40pm all lanes reopened.
