Ebbsfleet duo Darius Charles and Michael Gash have completed their £80,000 move to Blue Square Premier rivals York.

The deal was announced by York on Monday morning, along with the news that they have also signed Fleet midfielder Neil Barrett.

York boss Martin Foyle told the club's website: “I’m delighted to have secured three quality players of this calibre. It’s a big coup for York City and I now think we have a great squad of players to take us forward for the coming season.”

Charles only signed for the Fleet in 2008 from Brentford but was named player-of-the-year last season after an excellent campaign.

Gash (pictured) joined the Fleet from Cambridge City for £20,000 last summer and scored 11 league goals in 39 starts.

Former Chelsea youngster Barrett was part of the Fleet side that won the FA Trophy in May, 2008.

However, his season was cut short last term by a serious injury he picked up when scoring for the Fleet in the FA Trophy semi-final against Stevenage.
