Car fire in Marks Square, Northfleet, being treated as arson

Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire in a cul-de-sac last night in what is being treated as an arson attack.

Crews from Thames-side Fire Station attended the blaze at Marks Square, Northfleet, just before 7.30pm.

Two fire engines attended and firefighters wore breathing apparatus as they extinguished the flames using a hose reel jet. No casualties were reported.

The cause of the fire is being treated as deliberate.

Police were also in attendance and say enquiries are ongoing.
