By Sean McPolin

Up to 130 jobs could be lost at a toilet tissue mill as part of a £95 million project.

It comes as US based Kimberly-Clark recently announced its multi-million pound investment into its UK operations.

The project involves changes at two of its mills, where Andrex toilet paper is made, in the country.

One of the locations in Crete Hall Road, Northfleet is set to lose between 110 and 130 positions, while zero to 20 could be lost at its Barrow facility.

The changes will come over a three year period, subject to employee consultation, and is being done to 'drive manufacturing efficiency and long-term, sustainable growth' for the company.

A final decision will be made by the company after negotiating with unions, work councils and other labour stakeholders.

A spokesman for the company said: "At this time the company is focused on the wellbeing of employees and providing them with the support they need."
