BMG vice president, Jamie Nelson, said: "Spelling might not be Hrvy's strong point, but he knows how to make great music, and we're excited to have him join us at BMG.

"Thank you to Blair, his manager, our brilliant A&R Tashan Radtke for overseeing this signing, and of course to HRVY for entrusting us with the next stage of his career."

HRVY, whose real name is Harvey Cantwell, said: "I'm thrilled to be joining the BMG family.

"We had an instant connection and I'm excited to be putting new music out into the world with them.

"They've been incredibly supportive so can't wait to see what madness we create together."

The 22-year-old has one billion global streams to date with seven million monthly Spotify listeners, 4.3 million Instagram followers and more than 600,000 followers on Twitter.

In December, he finished as runner-up to Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse in the Strictly Come Dancing final with dance partner Janette Manrara.

The final brought to an end the nine-week series which saw the pop star score the first 10s of the series.

In 2019, police had to shut down a meet and greet when the corridors of Bluewater were stormed by HRVY's fans.

Security had to intervene within minutes of the impromptu event starting.
