Police helicopter searches Northfleet after man attacked and robbed

A police helicopter joined a search in the early hours for two men who attacked their victim and then robbed him.

Police were called at 2.54am today to a report a man had been assaulted by two men at property in Napier Road, Northfleet.

Kent Police spokesman James Walker said: "The victim sustained a facial injury which did not require hospital treatment and a quantity of money is also reported to have been stolen.

"A search of the area, which was assisted by the National Police Air Service, took place and at present no arrests have been made. Inquiries are ongoing."
