The teacher received a track and trace notification advising them to self isolate after they had been in contact with someone who tested positive for the virus.

In an unrelated case, a pupil returned a positive test and is now taking part in remote-learning from home as are members of their bubble.

A spokesperson for the school said: "Being open and transparent with our parents is really important to us.

"Remote learning has been delivered from the first day of children self-isolating, providing a broad and balanced curriculum so that our children can continue to learn while at home.

"The safety of our children and staff is our number one priority and we have been in close touch with our families throughout this period, to reassure them about the measures we have in place to continue to keep the school a safe place."
