Mr Burdett, says her disappearance is completely out of character and she has never gone missing before.

The 22-year-old, who has travelled from Portsmouth and is staying with friends in the area, said: "This behaviour is so unlike her, she’s never done anything like this before.

"The ones in my family that are probably being hurt the worst by this all are the young ones - her 12-year-old son and her other son and daughter who are both six.

"I can’t imagine how hard this must be for them to try and understand what’s going on.

"I believe I speak for all her family and friends when I say that we are all incredibly worried about her and miss her so much it hurts, all everyone want is for her to come back from where ever she may be.

"Me and all my family and her friends urge anyone with any sort of information to come forward."

Police have issued two appeals in the hope of trying to trace Miss Wellgreen, who is of medium build and has straight brown hair and is about 5ft 7ins tall and has green eyes.

Officers announced today they have arrested a man in his 30s in connection with her disappearance and he is currently in police custody.

Officers have been continuing to search for her since she disappeared and police were seen around the area near her home with dogs and drones on Monday as they stepped up the search.

Earlier this week, District Commander, Chief Insp Tony Dyer said: "My officers and Sarah’s relatives are increasingly concerned for her welfare.

"Sarah is believed to have connections to Portsmouth and I would urge anybody who knows where she is or who may have seen her to contact us immediately."
