Police called to disturbance near Busy Bees Nursery in Wrotham Road, Meopham

Officers swarmed to an incident outside a pre-school nursery following reports a row broke out at drop-off time.

Police attended the incident which occurred at the gates of Busy Bees Nursery in Meopham at around 8am yesterday to deal with the disturbance.

The two people involved in the dispute were known to each other, police say.

A search of the area near Wrotham Road was carried out to locate one of the people but they were not at the scene.

A spokesperson for the school said: "Officers attended an incident on Wrotham Road close by our nursery in relation to a private family matter.

"The incident is unrelated to our nursery. Please direct any questions to Kent Police Press Office."

Inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
