Police called after reports of raves in Gravesend

Police are investigating following reports of loud music being played at an address in Gravesend.

In the latest incident, officers from the Gravesham Community Safety Unit attended after people complained of noise in the East Crescent Road and Harmer Street area during the early hours of Sunday.

Police say they also aware of concerns about excess noise being caused by people gathering near the junction with Bentley Street at night.

They say officers have been working with relevant partner agencies and businesses in the area to address these issues and work is continuing.

Residents posting on Facebook have said regular "raves" have been taking place in the area and a number of people have been seen gathering at the Esso garage in Milton Road.

Anyone affected by antisocial behaviour is encouraged to make a report through the Kent Police website, or by calling 101. In the event of an emergency, dial 999.
