PC Elliot Booker-Keep dismissed after throwing bin at ex-partner's car in Gravesend

A policeman has been dismissed after throwing a bin at his ex-partner's car in Kent, causing damage to the windscreen.

Metropolitan Police officer PC Elliot Booker-Keep was found to have breached the standards of professional behaviour when he committed the offence at a property in Gravesend. He was off duty at the time.

Booker-Keep appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 8, pleading guilty to criminal damage, for which he was arrested on January 2.

He was given a three-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £22 victim surcharge.

A Met Police statement said: "An accelerated misconduct was hearing held on Friday, 15 July and chaired by Deputy Commissioner Helen Ball.

"After considering all the evidence, it was concluded that PC Elliot Booker-Keep had breached the standards of professional behaviour in relation to ‘discreditable conduct’.

When the Met was alerted to the Kent Police investigation, the Directorate of Professional Standards was made aware and PC Booker-Keep was placed on restricted duties, the Met statement added.

PC Booker-Keep, of the South Area Command Unit, will now be added to the Barred List held by the College of Policing. Those appearing on the list cannot be employed by police or local policing bodies.
