Postman thrown to the ground and post stolen in Parrock Street, Gravesend

Letters were stolen after a postman was pushed over on his daily round.

Witnesses are being sought by officers following the daylight robbery in Parrock Street, Gravesend.

The victim was making his deliveries when he was approached by a man who is alleged to have pushed him and stolen some post. The postman was unharmed.

The suspect is described as black, between 35 and 40, around 5ft 6in with short hair.

He was wearing black jeans and a blue shirt.

It happened at around 10am on Thursday, November 19 and police issued an appeal this afternoon.

An investigation into the incident is continuing and officers are urging anyone who saw what happened, or who has CCTV or dashcam footage which may assist, to call police on 01474 366149, quoting reference 46/206828/20.
