Kings Arms in Meopham closes after reported case of coronavirus

A village pub has announced it is to close temporarily after a reported case of coronavirus.

The Kings Arms in Meopham announced the closure yesterday and has since said it would contact all customers who had visited within the last 21 days.

A statement posted by the pub said: "It has been brought to our attention that we have had a reported case of Covid-19.

"We take the responsibility of our patrons' health extremely seriously and so with regret we have decided to implement a temporary closure while investigations are carried out.

"We will provide further updates as and when possible. All customers with bookings will be contacted.

"Thank you for your patience and your understanding on this matter.

"If you have any concerns please refer to the government CDC website."

An update posted today stated the pub was following track and trace procedures, adding: "We will be contacting everyone that has been in the pub over the last 21 days to give out any information required and give people the advice and information they need to tell others and people they have been in contact with. Would like to say thank you to everyone for their support and patience and we are trying our best to solve the issue."
