A road has been shut following a traffic collision.

Brands Hatch Road, which leads to the famous racing circuit that gives it its name, was closed at about 6.57am this morning due to the incident.

Police tweets indicate that fire crews and Kent Highways officers are en route to help clean up the scene.

Though the route is blocked, customers can still access the Brands Hatch Hotel.

Kent Police have been contacted for more information.
