Road closed after void opens under Forge Lane, Higham

A road has been closed for up to two weeks after a void opened underneath the carriageway.

Forge Lane in Higham is currently shut in both directions between the A226 Gravesend Road and Hermitage Road at the corner of The Gardeners Arms pub.

It will remain shut for up to two weeks.

Kent County Council created an incident report for the void this afternoon and is advising drivers to use an alternative route.
