A road was closed overnight for accident investigation work.

New Barn Road in Southfleet was shut in both directions from the A2 to Warren Road after a crash at around 9.30pm yesterday (June 1).

Police were called to reports of a collision between two vehicles and three people were injured and taken to hospital.

A force spokesman said: “Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.”

The road was reopened at around 2pm today. During the closure people who live in the area were being diverted via Green Street Green.

Traffic reporting tool Inrix said traffic was “coping well”.

The ambulance service has been contacted for more information.
