Tributes have been paid to one of the first electrolysists who helped hundreds of people over the years.
Elizabeth Cummings, known to many as Lizzie, died peacefully at home in Cranbrook, aged 92, on April 8.
Hundreds of women will remember her as an electrolysist practising in Parrock Street, Gravesend, where the clinic still bears her name.
She trained in the early days of electrolysis in Kent with Eileen and Jan Franczak, founder members of what is now the British Institute and Association of Electroylsis (BIAE).
Lizzie worked with them in their clinics in Maidstone and several other locations in Kent before opening her own clinic in Gravesend in the 1960s.
Gem Duncan, Lizzie's friend and colleague since 1969, said: "Apart from her expertise as an electrolysist, Lizzie was a reflexologist and in both roles routinely dispensed kindness and wisdom in abundance. She rescued many struggling with mental health issues and personal difficulties; a caring counsellor in all but name. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her."
